A proud graduate of Texas A&M University–Kingsville, Coach Holmes excelled as a dual-sport athlete in football and track & field, earning All-American honors as a wide receiver and hurdler while competing in the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, triple jump, and anchoring the 4×400m relay. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a minor in Biology.
Beyond his playing career, Coach Holmes has dedicated his life to developing young athletes. He served as a teacher and coach at East Central High School, teaching science courses while coaching wide receivers, leading JV football, assisting with girls basketball, and coaching hurdles and jumps in track & field.
With over two decades of performance training experience, he has led athlete development programs through The Athletes Course, Velocity Sports Performance, JuiceBossHQ, and D1 Training as Head Trainer. His leadership experience also includes serving as Interim Head Coach of the San Antonio Valor indoor football team in 2020.
